Todoist Assist suggests. It proposes subtasks, scheduling and filters, you decide what to apply, and on the free Beginner plan you do not get it at all. Otto starts from a sentence and does the work: describe a project the way you would say it out loud and it drafts the actual tasks, subtasks, priorities, dates and owners. Then it stops. You get a before and after of every change and approve or discard it, whether that is one task or fifty. No tier to climb first.

Moving from Todoist is quick, because you only bring the live work. Recreate active projects in a few minutes, or tell Otto "Create tasks for [project]..." and approve what it drafts, complete with priorities, subtasks and due dates. There is no need to export years of completed tasks, and no import job to schedule.

For a team that needs the shared workspace, roles and more than five team projects, Business is the tier that applies, so Taskly is less expensive today.
Taskly can replace Todoist for personal task management if what you want is a list, a board, subtasks, recurrence and an assistant that drafts the work for you. It is a worse fit if you rely on Todoist’s natural-language quick add, its calendar layout, location based reminders, offline support, the large integration ecosystem or the Karma and streaks system, because Taskly has none of those. That is the honest split, and it is worth checking against how you actually use Todoist before switching.
Todoist is still the better choice when you want a polished personal to-do list with the best natural-language quick add, mature apps on every platform and a deep integration ecosystem, and you do not need team-wide task ownership. Taskly is for teams that need structure, oversight and an AI that does the organizing rather than suggesting it.
